I know, and both guys gave everything, to the point where Ali collapsed. fuck man they killed each other in there.I wish the Klits or other heavies showed that heart nowadays. Thats what gets to me about the Klithuggers, i mean they are good fighters in their own respect but to class them as greats when people like Frazier, Ali, Liston, Foreman, Dempsey have been and done it.
Thrilla in Manila vs Rumble in the Jungle???

The Thrilla in Manila was a much better fight than the Rumble in the Jungle. Rumble was an ugly, awkward sort of fight with Ali on the ropes covering, leaning away and countering, and Foreman dropping bombs that rarely connected cleanly. It is still a significant fight historically because it was Ali coming back as an underdog at 32 and defeating the younger Foreman. But the Thrilla was a war with lots of clean exchanging and excitment.Comment

MY vote goes to "Thrilla", and I am biased. Just imagine a 15 year old watching his first boxing fight, LIVE!!!
The "Rumble" was a stage were we all saw a genius at work, first time we've heard of the phrase "Rope-A-Dope". Who would have thunk that Ali will fight that way???Comment

I voted neither and there was no way I was going to vote for the thrilla in manilla as it is without question the most overrated fight of all time,Heck the whole Ali-frazier trilogy is overrated
It really wasn't as competitive as it is made out to be,I gave frazier just five rounds of that fight even though Ali practically handed him the oppurtunity to win that fight
Of course you would,That was the whole point of the documentary.I could make a documentary on Joe frazier using actual facts and not hushed over myths and make you despise the man within an instant
these documentaries are very good at fooling ignorant sheep into beliving things that aren't true
See the post below me
As opposed to Frazier who never did? but you never saw that because it wasn't included on the documentary
Add to the fact that the words "cut my gloves off" never even came out of Ali's mouth.
Joe Frazier doesn't even claim it as a fact merely pointing out that a friend of his(who was apparently close to Ali's corner) claimed he heard him say those words.
There is actually more evidence to suggest Frazier quit in his cornerComment
