    My Top 8 Lightweight Ranking:

    1. Davis
    2. Lomachenko
    3. Lopez
    4. Haney
    5. JoJo Diaz
    6. Cruz Gonzalez
    7. William Zepeda (I can't wait to see this guy's next fight.)
    8. Ryan Garcia

Out of these, I can't see more than 2 matchups.

Please make JoJo Diaz vs Zepeda. Both with GBP. I don't care for Garcia-Diaz much.

Whoever wrote this article needs to get real. To call them the top 4 is nonsense. Firstly how can you put Garcia in there? He's beat a good Campbell and that's it. Is that better than Loma? Are we saying Loma must be no 5 now on the account of his loss to Lopez? Lol. Next of all how can we include Davis? He has only had one fight in the division and since then he's fought in 2 other divisions and for all we know might fight at 147 next lol. Davis isn't a lightweight until he actually starts to settle there. There's a top 3 as I see it. Lopez, Loma then Haney. Lopez and Haney are the World champs and need to fight for undisputed, and Lopez and Loma need to rematch as there's unfinished buisness there.Don't get me wrong about Davis. If he signs up to fight a top lightweight he goes into my top 3 and Haney drops to 4. Jo Jo Diaz is more worthy than Garcia and if Diaz fights Garcia next that's a backwards step when he can fight Haney for the world title. Campbell is spot on about 2 things. They all need to start fighting each other, and Haney is the only one trying to fight all those named. Not his fault their promoters won't let them. I say promoters as I believe the fighters will if allowed. Except for Garcia. He's just plain scared lol.

Look yo. I think Davis is the best boxer/fighter in the world, and one of the most exciting, with Canelo a close second.

You are obviously a brainwashed belts guy. Imagine my Top 8 fighting, all being REAL mandatories to each other, instead of thinking about 4 or 5 fake champions in each division. Imagine one champ a division and my list as a ranking. You can have your own list. Very simple.

Only 10 pounds between 3 divisions (130-140). If you take a close look at Gervonta's work in 3 divisions, you'll understand why I have him at #1, and I believe he beats all on the list. That's what a ranking is. I don't refer to any belts or website rankings. If you are a belts guy, Davis now is a 3-division champ simultaneously. Something rare. You can't pick and choose when a crooked org's belt matters.

Belt orgs don't rank each other's 'champs' for greedy reasons. You won't see any belt org putting together anything close to my list. Go check.

Good call on Gervonta Davis, love watching him, I think he's a massive talent, and fortunately, he's stacked around plenty of other great guys for future fights. Totally agree on the belt B.S. I swear, some people on here would rank a guy defending his title against the world number 15 in an ORG, who's more likely the world number 75, than the 2 vs 3 in a nontitle fight. Meaningless defenses mean nothing to me. I'm sick of hearing about title defenses. I'd rather guys drop belts if it means better fights. Having a belt (a real one) is great, but if it gets to the point it's stopping key fights, bin it like you're Chicken Bowe. Nash out.

Davis may well be the best boxer in the World. I'd just like to see it proven though, and that means fighting the best which isn't happening. I'm not belittling Davis as I believe he would gladly fight all those guys. But he's being protected. I did mention in my post that it was the promoters that were spoiling things not the fighters. Maybe you missed that part of my point. And I also did say that if he were to be a lightweight I'd have him at no 3, but I can't see him at that weight as he's not been competing there. That's just fact. Nobody called Kell Brook a middleweight after fighting Golovkin including myself btw. And yes I am a belts guy as they are the top prizes in the sport and what they are there to compete for. Nobody said a bronze medallist at the Olympics was the best even though he didn't win gold. Only the main world titles are important and that makes Davis a one weight world champion. I'd love to see him try to be a 3 weight champ, but that's gonna require him fighting the best and as I've already pointed out he's being protected from those fights. I only wish he wasn't its a waste of top, top talent. Just my opinion yo.

I totally agree he is a cracking fighter but are those other great future fights you speak of going to happen? And its about the quality of opponent not just the belt. But there still needs to be a prize , a title. I'd gladly watch Davis vs Lopez tomorrow WITHOUT BELTS but it's not gonna happen. I just live in the real world.

I know there is no guarantee, but that the names' are there, at least some hope remains. So much B.S. in boxing, and too many easy ways for guys to back out of fights. Everyone thinking they are the A-side for one, demanding 60-40. I've always liked the 40-40 split, winner gets 20, if a draw, then it's 50-50. It would at least clear the 60-40 excuse away. Nash out.
