Naito vs Kameda Locked After Latest Tuneup Win

At Differ Ariake in Tokyo, Japan, former WBA junior flyweight champion Koki Kameda (19-0, 13 KOs) pounded Humberto Pool (15-9-3, 9 KOs) of Mexico in five rounds. The fight was said to be a pure mismatch with Kameda getting in some work while punishing Pool, knocking him down three times and putting him away in the fifth. [details]

Naito has been under-whelming in his last few performances. Kameda will probably take this.

I tell you what. Naito - Kameda won't happen. Koki will definitely withdraw from this showdown. The point is, when will he announce the calling off of the fight. That's where it's at.

Seriously, few - and I mean VERY FEW - boxing fans are interested in Koki, Daiki and Tomoki of the Kameda family. Naito should go on and face Wonjongkam for the fifth encounter with their regular and interim belts for the sake of the true lineal championshipm and, hopefully, the Ring Mag belt. Let the Kameda Brothers walk away. Shouldn't have watched their bouts yesterday I tell you.

Naito has one of the weirdest styles I've ever seen.

That being said, I'd love to see Kameda KTFO.

Naito didn't look good at all in his last fight but was that a 1 off? He might have taken his opponent lightly, if Naito hasn't slipped that much he wins this fight. That is of course, if the fight actually happens.

Before that win, he was also losing every round before he got a come from behind victory in the 10th against that other dude too.

I haven't seen the one against Shimizu, I saw his fight against Yamaguchi, he looked alright in that one.

I love his style though. It's like a ricardo mayorga type style with a jab and he can move around the ring. It's so weird
