Reasons why bernard won't fight RJ again.

People forget RJ has aleady beaten Bernad before, quite easily. Rj won every round. Bernard has always had trouble with fighters who have more physical athleticism than him (RJ). Right now, bernard is at the top in the sport. RJ is somewhere in the middle trying to finish his career the way he wants to. If bernard was to grant roy a fight and roy wins, it places roy right back at the top with bernard beneath him. Roy is still faster and probably stronger than bernard. So rather than tarnish his career anymore, bernard would rather not face such a challenge. This is a fight roy would come in supreme shape for. Roy jones is the worst type of fight for bernard, this is why he prices himself out. bernard will look great against slow, flat-footed fighters like KP, but against RJ, who knows what will happen. And at this point of his career, i doubt he wants to find out. If bernard lost it would completely damage his legacy and it would be a fight that would allow RJ to go out on top. What are your thoughts. By the way, this is my fist post, so hello everyone.

The reason Hopkins won't fight Roy is because if he loses his image of this awesome oldschool boxer way past his prime beating up young, fit prime champions will be destroyed. I truely believe Roy could beat Hopkins it's a fight I really want to see and I know nearly every other boxing fan would want to see. It's not going to happen though, Hopkins has too much to lose and won't risk it.

I think Roy Jones would beat Bernard Hopkins. And this wouldn't be good for Hopkins' legacy. Two losses to Roy Jones. Once in his prime and once when Roy was faded.

Other than the part where Roy won every round he is right though. High risk still and low reward. Though I and many other would like to see it, it is still B-hop's career and legacy on the line and he holds all the cards here in 2009.

hopkins has already stated hy he doesnt want to fight him. if he wins, he beats a washed up version of rjj; if he loses he got beat by a past his prime boxer who has already beat him.
