No announcement yet.

I think pac vs Spence will do great Ppv numbers but Spence needs to work on his promotion skills if he wants to be huge.

  • I think pac vs Spence will do great Ppv numbers but Spence needs to work on his promotion skills if he wants to be huge.

Since the fight was announced in may Spence has probably posted like 7 ig post and did the press conference and like 3 interviews.

pacman is out here shaking hands and kissing babies not giving a f?$k about corona showing training clips damn near every day promoting the fight doing interviews while Spence is doing his best al haymon impression.

spence was more vocal in the brook and porter fight because they had to bring it out of him and pacquiao isn’t the type to talk much himself but atleast he is active with the public.

if this is Spence breakout fight he needs to do something on the promoting front.

Agree, it's hard to be somebody you're not but Spence doesn't have to be a rock bottom thug, just put a little bit more effort into it.

Its hard for guys like Errol because he doesn't seek attention he rather just do his thing, TC is the same, they just want to fight and focus on that, not good for the promoters but for these types, they need to be pushed and tutored in selling themselves not just expected to do it as its not their natural personality.

I'm sick and tired of all the dumbass talk of a side, b side.

          Promotion, self promotion.

          Interviews, personalities, etc.

All I care about fighters is the fight.

I’m going to the fight and I was allready sold when he announced it on his ig and he didn’t have to say a word. But let’s not kid ourselves. Being a good fighter is not what is going to make you a mega star just look at Crawford. Mcgregor has been getting whooped all over the place recently but he can still pack a arena just off his personality.

I’m not saying he has to be something he is not and make a fool of himself because I’m a quiet person my self but In the entertainment buisness he just has to be a bit more vocal.

Selling a fight has very little to do with skill. Attention whores are the most marketable.

You understand in the entertainment business when they have a talent they are groomed by experts in how to dress, how to talk and what to say, their manager will arrange public appearances and charity appearances there is an entire machine behind them building the star value.

In boxing instead of the promotors building up their investments using the same tactics Hollywood does, they gey on youtube whining about the fighter not selling himself, Bob Arum has been a great promoter but he is being old-school boxing instead of public relations building.

You can not blame the fighter he is the fighter, if he is not a out-there kinda guy and you want him to be a showman teach him how to be, pay the right people to build his public profile dont expect it to just happen.

Look at your thread. Pac's time is gone and Spence derailed his career before even getting close to the zenith. Fight is meh to me. I don't really care if I miss it. What's the intrigue? I think it flops hard.
