Comments Thread For: Kid Galahad vs. Jazza ****ens Rematch For IBF Title - Preview

When Kid Galahad and Jazza ****ens first shared a ring, eight years ago, it is fair to suggest that no one present thought the rematch would have had a world title on the line. Both have been on a long path since that night in a converted steelworks in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, but when they clash in Eddie Hearn's childhood garden in Essex on Saturday, it could be a life-changing night for the winner.

****ens does not like the Ingle way. I bet on this fight a while back when Galahad's odds were 4-7, they are 1-3 now. I put down £3,500, and will win £2000 if he wins, and lose £3,500 if he doesn't, but he will. Nash knows, he is a boxing expert and a true warrior. Nash out.

      I think you’ll be ok!

I really rate Galahad, I think he can be boring of course, but I thought he beat Warrington. It was such a stinker that nobody cared about the result, But if you add up the rounds, I think there was only one winner.

He should win tonight and get the belt that should’ve rightfully been his before.

this could be a blink and you miss it fight - the oddsmakers seem to think there'll be knock downs. I think Galahad on a split decision.

I had him winning too, but I agree with your assessment. Galahad really impressed me in his next fight (I think) where he won by KO around Round 9 against a decent guy, and I have seen a lot of ****ens, though he is good, I think Galahad is two levels above in terms of natural ability.

I place the best ages ago, as I knew the odds would get worse, cos Galahad was underpriced initially. You never know what can happen, but I'm confident in the win. It is money I can afford to lose, but as I see this as a sure-fire bet, I'd be greatly annoyed if Galahad does not do the business tonight. Nash out.

the only slight doubt I have is that Galahad hasn’t fought in about 18 months, whereas ****ens has been active..

But I still think Galahad is a couple of levels above him in ability, as you say, so it shouldn’t be a huge factor.

I agree with you both. I like Jazza alot, I'm a fan but he is a level below his opponent. I think Galahad will win (even though I went with Jazza in the NSB pick'em) and possibly a stoppage.

The one thing that would concern me about Galahad is that he has been out of the ring for a long time and he didn't look good at the weigh-in. He's better than Jazza but not so good that he can win compromised.

                  Yeah

At least with Galahad, he’s never out of camp, he trains all year round. He used to literally sleep in the Ingle gym at one point.

obviously there’s no substitute for real fights, but being a gym rat, at least you know he won’t have been sitting round for a year and then getting into camp 8 weeks ago.
