Don’t be so sure. Caneo walking awa from the Bivol agreement suggests he wants the Plant fight and is willing to work on a deal.

Canelo shouldn’t sign a 3 fight deal ( unless he is guaranteed Floyd at the weight of his choosing which ain’t happening).

Maybe they agree on a 2 fight agreement. Haymon and Canelo know he’s gonna wax Plant so haymon probably angling for Benavidez or Charlo on Cinco de Mayo. Only way Canelo agrees is if the money is astronomical.

If Haymon does ask for 3 and doesn’t budge, then Canelo should just move on to something else at this point.

I can understand 1 additional fight because Plant is getting waxed. But it doesn’t make business sense imo for canelo to tie himself down with a 3 fight deal, especially with covid on an uptick.

Hopefully they make it work because I think fans would love to see Canelo against either Charlo or Benavidez on cinco de Mayo.

Maybe 1 additional fight would be the acceptable compromise. But it depends on what Canelo wants to do after. And if that was 175 for example then it might not appeal to him to fight Charlo or Benavidez.
