Also - i believe Canelo wouldn’t accept the terms on having to fight a TBC for less money if Plant got injured because he was expecting a bait and switch tactic which is entirely possible.

Isn’t it sad that if this fight weren’t for the last belt, absolutely nobody would care. All this hassle over a garbage fight nobody would even ask for. It’s sad really, Plant having that belt that he beat nobody for, is the only thing keeping him relevant in this whole equation.

Can we please just get this fight done and over with so we can see Canelo vs Charlo, Benavidez, Bivol or Beterbiev? I’ll take anybody over Plant. Ffs I thought it would have been harder to get the Saunders fight done.

Hearn should’ve just leaked DAZN’s offer for Plant to let the public know the difference.

Hearn shouldn’t be insecure if Plant’s offer was the same as BJS or a tad higher. PBC legionnaires would say that DAZN UK buys wouldn’t have any justification for Plant regardless that it’s global. The PBC legionaries want to fool minds that the PPV on Fox would be better than DAZN. Every Canelo fight since DAZN UK launched has been great.

They say Canelo would’ve had his “highest payday” but that’s all subjective. “Highest Payday” is reserved for fighters whom would never see another high payday. If Canelo fights 3 times a year with $30mil in the bank each then $40mil means absolutely nothing since his yearly income overrides that narrative.

I doubt Bivol fight is next for Canelo. Plant pays more, is an easier fight and it's for undisputed. Makes more sense.

I don't think DAZN was going to give Canelo that $40 million! I think the sticking point is, "What happens if someone gets covid, and can't fight?" Canelo wants a guarantee he'll still get $40 million, no matter who he fights, AND if Canelo can't fight, he does NOT want Plant fighting at all, until he's ready to go! That sounds like a bit too much! Hopefully they get the fight done! I want to see how long the WBC gives Canelo b4 he has to fight Benavidez?

Yeah, it's called "leverage." Plant has that belt, and $40 million on the table. Obviously Bivol and Beterbiev don't have something better to offer. I definitely would rather see Benavidez or Charlo instead of Plant, but I guess Canelo does not!

Just in case there’s any confusion of what happened here. BOTH Canelo and Plant were getting career high guarantees but Canelo messed up the deal by insisting that he get that same career high guarantee even if the fight got cancelled for any reason. Al Haymon declined that absurd request. Canelo then pretended that he would fight Bivol in Sept to try and gain leverage but it didn’t work, so now canelo has once again bailed on fighting on the Mexican holiday he also pretended was very important to him. So to be clear, when Canelo makes statements like “it’s not about the money” or “The Mexican fight dates are very important for me to represent my people” he’s lying to you gullible fools who believe him.
