Oscar about to take over the Mexican Independence Day weekend

Alright, now that we know Canelo not Golden Boy is the sole reason he won’t be fighting on Mexican Independence day weekend for the 3rd straight yr. Should Oscar put his comeback fight w/t Vitor on that weekend just to spite the Ginger? Honestly, couldn’t think of a bigger F-U the Golden Boy could pull by taking one of the two biggest Mexican dates from Canelo, savage…

I actually think Oscar will still draw massive numbers.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we get De La Hoya vs Mayweather 2 at some point.

Don’t see any events scheduled for Sep 18th @ Staples Center. Thriller and Oscar would be wise to push the fight one week and have it during Mexican Independence Day weekend w/t a largely Latino population like LA the event should be a huge hit.

I have no interest in the exhibition type stuff personally but I’m sure Oscar would still draw a huge crowd during the Mexican holidays. Triller would definitely be wise to utilise Independence Day weekend.

Would it be a good idea for Dela 8 ball to try and put Ryan v jojo on that date in Carson city?

Put Ryan Garcia vs Jojo Diaz on that date. That is now three years in a row that Canelo has not fought on that date. Garcia vs Jojo on September 18 would do great numbers at the gate.

I wouldn't be surprised if the PBC goes on with Andy Ruiz on that date as well. I believe Ruiz has been back in the gym so he may have a lined up or one coming up soon.

Carson City Nevada or Carson California? Why the hell would Ryan be in Carson City Nevada. I know it’s the capital city but even the cows think it’s a cow town.

California. Unless that fight is big enough for Vegas.

Okay that makes a lot more sense. I’m sure you’ve never been to Carson City Nevada but unfortunately I have.
