If Mayweather fights Berto insted of elite fighters like Cotto, Pacquiao and Mosley he should stop wasting our time and retire from boxing again after he fights Marquez.
1st off Dougie hates Floyd more than anything and I think you could read that in his reason. However, Ive made threads on here too saying that I think its very possible that Floyd would fight Berto next but I think you are wrong if you are going to diss him for it. I thought the reason he would fight Berto next is because every other one of his possible opponents fight 2 or 3 months away and Floyd is still coming back from a 2 year layoff. Would you really be upset if he fought Berto at WW in say, December? It would have no affect at all on his future belts as the other one's would be just about finished at that time. It would only be like 2-4 weeks after Pacquaio-Cotto and probably before the Mosley fight. He might feel that he needs that.

The other reason I thought it was possible is because "what if Cotto wins"? I have always said that I dont think its a great idea for Floyd to come off of a 2 year layoff, fight a guy like JMM at 144, and then fight a Cotto or a Mosley immediatly after at WW. It could be a shock to his system. It would be like going from a boy to a man. I really honestly 100% think that he wants to fight those guys now but I could see Berto in the meantime or as a tuneup for the "weight". With that being said, Floyd looks physicaly better than ever so he might go straight to them. All in all I think he will just wait and hope Pac wins so the weight thing isnt really a factor

No way Mayweather fights Andre Berto...lol Dougie has and always will be a Mayweather HATER. Mayweather will fight Shane Mosley, before he fights Berto....but everyone in boxing knows Mayweather will fight the winner of Marquez - Cotto

        Dougie =

Of course thats a big possibility. Just ask yourself this question, who is the biggest & most powerful boxer mr.counterfeit cash has ever faced?

                ans- carlos baldomir. thats right.

Fighting andre berto is just another SLY CHERRY PICKING MOVE by the fraudulent one. It will give him another "great undefeated" fighter much like ricky hatton. He will beat berto then he will start spouting off how great he is because he beat another undefeated fighter.

People are too glossy eyed whenever he starts yapping about how great he is & become too gullible to see this. Fraudulent jr. knows this. Look at his selection of marquez, his reasoning for it is he's 2# p4p & has given pacquiao the most trouble. That was at 126 & 130. Not 144.

He is scared to take on huge powerful full fledged welters, so he tries to compensate for it by picking undefeated fighters that are not really great but are still undefeated so when he beats them he somehow puts his stamp on them by saying they only got beat by the self proclaimed G.O.A.T or I damaged them already bull crap.

                WAKE DA **** UP PEOPLE!

honestly it would not surprise me if floyd fights berto instead of cotto or pac.

remember... floyd had victor ortiz on his "list".

                      That was richard schaffer's list.

On that list was Pacquiao, Cotto, and Mosley too btw.

If he doesn't fight the Pacquiao-Cotto winner next, he'll fight Mosley and not Berto imo.
