Congratulations from the UK. It was a tremendous victory for Torrez, who looks like he'll make a very exciting pro.

Lets Go Richard! HELL YES! Would be sweet if he can get revenge on Jalolov and win Gold but of course it is going to be tough

Never liked jalolov so i'm rooting for torrez. Jalolov was beaten three times by Dychko and once by jj.

Way to go Richard Torrez Jr!

Fighting on the inside will be his best bet in the final. He has a pro style, might as well ride with it till the end.

We allow pro athletes to compete in every sport so it makes sense to allow pro boxers to compete. But damn, a 20 year old facing a full fledged adult 27 year old man. Kinda messed up. You would not see that in pro boxing outside of Mike Tyson in the 1980s.

Tall order given what happened last time, but he's coming into his adult prime.

In last night's fight, it was clear in the first round Kunkabayev was the much better boxer and had good power. Torrez made all that irrelevant in about a round and a half. By the time the ref waved it off in the third round, Torrez had abused Kunkabayev to a degree you rarely see in amateur boxing.

The last punch destroyed the mans nose, broke it all the way open. Crazy power in those hands.

That damage probably couldn't have happened in the headgear era.

Nice that they finally did away with it.
