Yeah Manny is best vs aggressive, flat footed fighters, but that's with him using angles to turn them and get in and out. He sucks going backwards though and tends to just rush backwards overly defensive when pressured properly. Lomachenko is similar to this as well.

I kind of anticipated people would get defensive about this part, but there's a difference between being able to back-step and fire off a counter, and consistently fire off shots while backpedaling. Paulie made a similar point when critiquing Wilder vs Fury and everyone was pointing out the Szpilka KO.

Yeah good point about that. Sergio Martinez fought similar to Pacquiao, but he was better at the back peddle game and countering. Not so much retreating and getting back out of range though.
