Floyd and Roger knew what they were doing. That's the difference between them and all the copycats.

The pull counters and catch-and-shoots they did on the pads would show up in the exact same way in fights, for example.

Our king Deontay doesn't need all that fancy technique and boxing skill, though. He has Alabama power.

This reminds me of a scenario where one guy basks in the limelight (Fury) and another guy is training feverishly in a dungeon (Wilder). One thing is certain, regardless of outcome, Wilder is bringing everything he has in his body and soul to the rematch and now and then the boxing universe does get flipped upside down.

Has Wilder started to work on his footwork and defense yet?

I'm not sure if you noticed but your 'king' was dethroned in emphatic fashion and went into hiding.

Fury has BROKEN Wilder, Wilder is TERRIFIED of him now. It was all over his body language during the Mo Boxing interview a month ago at the 10 minute and 42 second mark:

            https://********/FG-Gr6NkPV4&t=642

The body cannot and does not lie. Wilder comes out with that big fake smile and his usual 'perfect for 1 second' line. Then the interviewer mentions Fury saying that he owns his soul. His entire face drops, you can literally see the fear in his eyes and he starts stuttering and stammering like Foghorn Leghorn on Speed.

It takes him over a minute to recover from that and put that big fake smile on his face again.

Wilder knows that he can't beat Fury. He simply doesn't believe it for a second. Watch those eyes again. Closely.

He doesn't even believe that 1 second line anymore because Fury got up twice from that right hand in the first fight and just shrugged off a couple of right hands early on in the second fight.

And if he doesn't believe that his right hand can take everybody in the division then he's finished in the division. Assuming that Wilder doesn't get seriously injured or killed during this fight (which is a distinct possibility if nobody throws the towel in next time and the ref doesn't stop the fight) he'll end up retiring.

I would have prefered Fury vs Usyk, and Wilder vs Joshua. Wilder would look great in knocking out Joshua and would have earned the right to get to share the ring with the great Kronk again. Obviously, Fury would destroy Usyk after outboxing him. 1. Kronk, 2. Wilder, 3. Hrgovic, 4. Oldtiz, 5. Femi Joshua. Nash out.

Malik is so much a yes man, giving Wilder his ego-filled cool aid to sip while preparing him for another beat down!

Wilder needs an experienced trainer not a fighter known to take a dive.

I respect any fighter who still practices the old shoe-shine. Unless your name is Sugar Ray Leonard you won't be using it for real, but hey it's still nice to be able to do it.
