I really dislike this narrative.

I don't know what he was doing or trying to do but I assume most boxers, majority of these guys are quiet mfers that never speak up against their promoter/agent and do the typical "I fight whoever they put in front of me".

I believe this s/hit is in their hands. Their career is in their hands. The hands of the boxer.

They have to man up and say "look, I want to do this." "let's do that." "let me go through with this."

A large part of boxing is marketing. YOU have to market yourself. Whether through your performances or your interviews or your out of ring commitments.

YOU have to do that work and if you do, it can pay off big time.

That is a lie on the Wilder front. Wilder wanted more then the 15 Mill being offered. Eddie told him if he wanted more money, then he should come over, fight Whyte, and should he beat him, build more interest for the AJ fight so he can pay him more. If he wasn't interested in that, then he can have a straight shot at AJ. But it will be for no more than the 15 Mill. An amount that is grotesque for a bum like him. Not once in Wilder's career, against anyone, did he ever generate that amount of money. The only time he was paid more, was the Fury rematch. But the backers lost 10's of Millions on that fight. Wilder and Fury did not come close to justifying their purses. You're twisting stories because you're clearly a Fury fanatic. Stop it. At least with letting the WBO go, Usyk is with the same stable and won't be so insane as to ask for 50/50 in a unification with AJ. Use your head.

Usyk had been out of the ring for some time before Chisora. Eddie needed Usyk to get some rounds otherwise it would be a hard sell for the AJ fight. Usyk needed someone at least respectable. He got that. And a style that suited him. He got that too.

Usyk didn't get the shot because Eddie was trying to force the big fight with Fury. It wasn't to f3ck Usyk over.
