Eddie had all his top fighters tied up with only Hrgovic free, but Hunter didn't want it. Why would Eddie pay him to fight nobodies just for the sake of it? It's not a charity. Americans however seem to think it is. He had an opportunity against Povetkin but could only come away with a draw. That's on him and no one else. But hey, you get mixed up with Americans and insanity will ensue. It's best you steer well clear of them. They want to fight it's there. You don't, f3ck off go away and keep your mouth closed. This is the fight business, not the coward and delusional business.

I generally don't begrudge a fighter for getting the most money that he possibly can.

With a few exceptions, such as Golovkin since he criticized others for being businessmen and not idols of boxing.

I used to rate Micheal Hunter as one of the better/best American heavyweights out there but his obvious ducking of Hrgovic thoroughly disappointed me, my only hope for American heavyweights lies with Jared now a damn shame really.

Sonny Conto I would imagine has a high ceiling to he hits harder and more compact .

Well Parker could of fought an eliminator and didn’t. He was a huge star in NZ now he’s a nobody.

Yeah but to be fair Michael Hunter does come across as a bit of a weirdo doesn't he, but of a wet blanket.

My point is he's not the most likeable or endearing fellow, he's the sort that sits in the dark corner at a party and complains that nobody is talking to him.

Anyway after he gave it the "ill fight anyone" and then wanted no part of hrgovic he's a bit of a laughing stock now and also firmly in the "who needs him" camp

I predict he will pop up in random fights once a year for a while before getting steamroller by a prospect and vanishing into the horizon.

He's also 33 years old and like a lot of heavyweights these days he's just milling about doing nothing like he's 23 and not, realistically a handful of years away from the end of his career.

Basically, I don't see big things in his future.

Most america heavyweights seem to lack passion for the game, all accept Deontay Wilder.

Since the end of the 90's, the heavyweights america produced have been uninspiring. And I don't know why because, there should be plenty inspiring characters.

Hunter is not at the end of his career, he should be pursuing fighters more aggressively.

It genuinely blows my mind at how some of you guys allow emotions to totally overrule any logic. You guys swear by Eddie Hearn so much, you guys honestly believe everything he’s done is great for boxing etc etc.

Unless he’s part of a AJ or Canelo fight, He just goes around promoting himself. Every fight camp and every show, EDDIE HEARN is the guy we hear the most about and most from. Go check his interviews he hardly ever talks much about fighters and more about what him and matchroom are doing.
