Why is this this even being talked about? It's not happening anytime soon! I think what GBP is doing to Devin Haney is ridiculous! Why are their guys fighting for mandatory spots, but then not fighting the Champion?

I'm not real big on Haney but I believe he would out class Garcia with the 1 variable of Garcia landing the no look left hook and that may change the outcome.

I'm not a big fan of Haney either, but I don't understand Ryan Garcia and Jo Jo Diaz, fighting to become mandatory, and then choosing NOT to fight the Champion, especially when all 3 fight on the same platform! Makes no sense!

Devin Haney Wants Richard Commey Or Jo Jo Diaz Jr Next In Oct. Or Nov.

Devin Haney says he wants either Richard Commey or Joseph ‘Jo Jo’ Diaz Jr as his next fight in October or November. Former IBF lightweight champion Commey (30-3, 27 KOs) recently called Haney (26-0, 15 KOs) out on social media, so he’s excited about that.

Unfortunately for Haney, Commey is now in negotiations to potentially face Vasily Lomachenko on December 11th on ESPN. With that fight potentially off the table, Haney may need to look elsewhere for an opponent for October or November...

“I got to keep winning and beat these top guys to show that I am the top dog. I want all of them. Right now, we’re looking at Richard Commey and Jo Jo Diaz. Jo Jo Diaz is lagging; he’s not really showing that he wants to fight. He says things to the media, but in reality, he hasn’t really shown [interest]. We’re also looking at Richard Commey if we can’t get a fight against Jo Jo Diaz. Richard Commey is interested in fighting Loma, but the deal isn’t signed yet. We know they are in talks, but he [Commey] will get a title shot and make more money fighting me, so we got to see. And I’m willing to go to ESPN to make the fight happen just to show you that I’m the top dog,” Haney said.

Ryan & Tank both have a puncher's chance but Tank is better defensively. I would pick Tank but with the chance of an upset.

It's interesting Tim Bradley just mentioned the height advantage for Garcia. It's a moot point now after Davis beating Barrios. People were thinking that Barrios was the perfect warm up for Josh Taylor but I've always thought that was more about being the perfect warm up for Garcia. Garcia is the only non Pbc fighter Ellerbe and Mayweather have shown any interest in and that fight might just happen. But not yet. Oscar's not ready for that yet after Luke Campbell dropped his boy. Plus Oscar also needs more time to get GBP away from DAZN, possibly to head to Showtime? Then Haymon will give it his blessing lol.

He would definitely stop Garcia, hence this fight not happening if you are GBP, they can say they want that fight all they want but it’s not going to happen. And it doesn’t help also when Mayweather says stuffs like Tank isn’t fighting anyone outside of Haymon Island. Maybe everyone needs to stop mentioning then, no point to linking him to name or seeing who he can fight outside of their own Island.

It's ridiculous isn't it? Some fighters are only allowed in fights that they're supposed to win to milk they're popularity. Whatever happened to 50/50 fights and the best fighting the best. It's ruining boxing. I feel for the fighters because they, I believe would genuinely fight anybody ( well most of the time as clearly Garcia don't won't Haney lol ), but are held back from those big fights by promoters and networks.
