Spence will hide behind his guard and likely win a boring decision if I'm being honest. Hope I'm wrong though

Anyhow, beating Pacman is not "torch-passing". Pac's last PPV did 500k PPV buys which is a joke compared to his prime ~10 years ago when he did at least twice that and sometimes more.

There's a reason Spence keeps calling out Canelo. Everyone knows Canelo is the cash cow today.

Saying beating Pacquiao is torch-passing is like saying beating GGG is torch-passing. GGG hasn't had a real fight since the Canelo rematch or maybe the Devenchenko fight. It's been all cherries since then. Pacman is only showing how poor and overrated this era of WW is in beating Thurman at 40 years old.
That ppv analogy is a joke

Pac has been beaten by people worse than Spence. How many times is he gonna pass the 'torch'? Where's the torch? He has nothing to pass on. He's old and looks listless. I'm more concerned for him getting beaten to death than passing something he never ever had.

I wouldn't be surprised if he beats Spence. Spence ain't really that good anymore, post accident. So, no matter who wins, they both lose in my eyes.

Who did Floyd pass the torch to? Berto? This torch thing is a complete and utter BS.

You guys are making too big a deal over Pac beating Thurman . Thurman's been badly hurt by a couple guys before Pac.

He was taking "one-time" too seriously, until the competition upgraded to "way more than one-time" .

Then he started backing up, jogging around the ring. He was badly hurt against Riverside Rocky.

So I don't think Thurman is any indication of how Pac will do against Spence. He's already faced a similar aggressive style from Porter, a bigger man than Pac.

I see a 12 round methodical beating on Pac, en route to a UD.

Pac has been past his prime for at least 5 years. Spence has more to lose than to gain. A pretty even fight which makes Pac look like a legend at his advanced battle worn age: Spence/Porter, Pac/Thurman and Thurman/Porter were all basically draws.

I was not one of them! Winky had won 13 straight fights! Winky was the favorite in Las Vegas!

Yeah winky had to move up in weight for that one, it was at a 170lb catchweight. He really disappointed me, I think he could have beat the older hopkins with activity. Taylor beat hopkins twice in my eyes because at that age hopkins wasnt throwing enough, even if he would get a few clean counters in a round he could be outworked. Winky usually had a good output, he had a close fight with Taylor that I thought he won. He came in looking flabby and didnt throw enough let hopkins control the fight, he should have came in top shape and expected to work 12 hard rounds to win on activity.

The Thurman who lost to Pac was just a rusty shell of the Thurman who beat Porter and Garcia. Thurman represents only himself and not the entire welterweight division. Crawford and Spence are excellent welterweights for any era. Pac has not defeated Spence or Crawford and I think either of them beat Pacquiao. Wait until the fight is over before you say this era of welterweights is so poor and overrated. If Spence KOs Pac as I think he will, then clearly Spence and today's top welterweights are very good and not overrated at all.

Naah, it's the same Thurman. Pac just neutralized him. Thurman's weakness ever since is the body shot. Look at this fight when he fought Callazo. Way back.. Callazo got him with a Body shot, but off course he's no Manny, but you can tell where he is weak. Pac with his power and speed made the difference that Callazo can't capitalize on that great body shot..

Thurman is the same dude. Pac fought him in his prime. Pac just knows how to put the hurt in the hurt business. The difference between elite and non elite is very close, but there's little something that makes them a cut above the rest.

                    @ 2:50 mark (Callazo's body shot)

                    Pacquiao's body shot. Same Banana.
