Can you use old tablets for anything?

Any techy nerds able to answer this? What can old tablets be used for. I have a Samsung from back in 2015 and an Amazon Fire 5 also around that time. I've factory reset both and yet both still take forever to load something.

So what can these things be good for?

Their first intended use; digital books.

That said, try installing some 3rd party OS or modded OS, or, actually, just some version of android that works for your devices but wasn't the stock 'droid on them. It should clear out any bugs and if you want to go back to your OG OS it's not a huge big deal to use one OS to clean another OS then reinstall the original OS.

It's what I do before I really get into the ****s when I catch a ******* or some such similar. I don't actually run any form of anti-virus or firewall because they conflict with my homemade programs, and, honestly for the service they provide they are bloated pieces of ****. So, you know, there's steps one takes to clean their system and an OS change is a pretty good one to take if you don't feel like manually going through your entire filesystem to find something suspect. I'm not saying you have a serious bug or anything, just that whatever has gone jank that a reset won't fix an OS swap probably will, especially if it's just ghost code or some such similar nonsense ****ing with your speed. Lots of times an innocent problem comes from updates. Sending packs of data over wifi causes file corruptions. An OS swap will surely fix TF out of that.
