Comments Thread For: Warren: Chisora Doesn't Fancy Joe Joyce, He Wants Parker Rematch

Frank Warren, promoter for Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce, is not convinced heavyweight veteran Derek Chisora would be willing to face his boxer. Chisora was ringside at Wembley Arena on Saturday night, as he watched Joyce stop world title challenger Carlos Takam in six rounds.

More dangerous than both Takam and Dubois, imo.

Chisora doesn’t have the power or stamina to hang with Joyce. As tough as Chisora is, I think Joyce beats him into submission.

Would have been funny if Haye was still with Chisora. Hays was claiming Joyce would smash Chisora when he was managing Joyce, would be funny to here him contradict himself by picking Chisora.

If you're not fighting the top ranked guys and moving up the rankings for a title shot then what are your fighting for

Obviously money, look where he's at in his career. He also felt he beat Parker so he wants his "get back"

All wrong for Chisora, Joyce has been quite impressive. Better than I gave him credit for.

Joyce ought to be taking on Parker, Ajagba, Hrgovic or even Ortiz or Ruiz jr.

With a guard and a stance like his, he will likely lose to a big, hard punching HW who has some decent skills. Most of his punches are arm punches.

Dubois is never going to reach the heights he deserves until he incorporates upper body and head movement. If he can do that, he'll be a world beater. At this stage he's still too much of a plodder with a languid style and no head movement or even good parrying/blocking skills, so Joyce simply controlled the range and popped his jab all night with a basic Jab and move strategy.

Against Takam, he was lucky to get the stoppage, even so, Takam has suffered too many defeats and is a step slower. He attacked in small intervals.

Until Joyce shows a good chin, good recuperation and adaptability he's still for mine a hype job.

What is this post brother? No-one is saying Joyce is gonna get to the very top so he's not a hype job, he's just a guy who has an undefeated record in the pro ranks and has a pretty good resume to boot. The stoppage against takam may have been slightly early depending on your views on how long a ref can watch someone take punches without reply, but it would have been stopped shortly after anyway, Joyce was too much for takam. And why does dubois "deserve" to reach the heights? He got smashed by Joyce and as u say his head movement is non existent, no-one is entitled to anything in boxing, especially dubois! And wtf are u saying "until Joyce shows a good chin"? He's shows probably the best chin in boxing right now. That's his main attribute for gods sake, have u not been paying attention? Other than that and everything else u said your post was spot on bruh, keep up the s**t work

The fact is Joe is the WBO No 1, and is next in line for the winner of AJ vs Usyk and that's where our focus is. He's the guy who is best placed in the heavyweight division to break into the Fury, AJ, Wilder world title scene,"
The truth is exactly the opposite. JJ is the worst placed in HW division "to break into the Fury, AJ, Wilder world title scene," JJ's mando spot only comes into play after WBA and IBF mandos, providing AJ and JJ continue winning.

Chisora has made his career gatekeeping on high level. Why should he fight Joyce now, who is high risk low reward?

He won Parker fight in the eyes of many fans, it is logical he wants a rematch for more money
