The Margarito* that fought Pac was not the same and past prime. Like, literally. It's the only reason Pac chose him and the odds reflected it. Pac is an underdog here so no one thinks Spence is damaged goods or shot. Not sure if any Spence fan has brought up the car crash.

To me Spence at 60% is still a tough night for anyone. Especially Pac. The gameplan for Pac is going to be similar to the ones he’s used against all Clottey, Margarito, ODH, etc. However, after the initial speed slows down and the heart rates settle in rounds 4-9. You will see a huge translation. You will see a gear physically that the aforementioned didn’t have, as well as, adjustments. Neither of those guys were stopped and that was a faster more dominant Pac.

I think he can beat him but not easily.

Depends if he can hurt him early. If not, I see Spence winning by decision or late KO

I think people are seeing Thurman as in name value, I think he was a shadow of his best, Spence is a different animal, I see Manny maybe 6 up and Spence coming home like a train, it all depends on how Spence takes his shots and for how long Manny can keep some space and angles, it's Spences physicality that will make the difference as rounds go by.
manny also took the thurman fight 6 months from fighting broner.. he fought broner in jan, and fought thurman in july, so that's like what a few months rest only??

the thing with pac is when thurman started turning it up, pac also came right back and shifted the ball back in his court... that's the thing with manny.. when he's getting beat up on, he doesnt just cover up, he'll come right back and start landing shots of his own.. spence fights norhing like floyd, so spence ill have to KO manny to win.

I have not watched any of Pacquiao's sparring sessions. Seems they are preparing something big against Spence.
