  • Do you believe the "theory"that Arum robs fighters before they leave?(or other promoters)

I constantly hear that theory, but have no idea why a promoter would do that especially if the other fighter isn't with Top Rank, can someone who believes this explain?

Is it because Arum bets against his guy whos heavily favoured?(that would at least make the most sense to me as the mob used to use 3rd parties to place bets while the favourite would get robbed/dive)

Is there any examples resembling this besides Pac?

Arum is a greedy old pos though so nothing would surprise me,& I know one thing about Arum,he is the white Don King but with shttier fights. I know he constantly says "I won't lose anymore money on Bud,fck his legacy" which does lend itself to thinking he feels Bud owes him,& IF Buds really going to Pbc I can see Bob making millions on Porter winning by hook or by crook just in case.

Me neither. Pac was not robbed down there either, IMO. Horn won fair and square, throw in some dirty tactics.

Nah. People act like the only shady cards in boxing are Pacquiao/Bradley and Pacquiao/Horn like we don't see 1 bad scorecard per fight every damn week

Plus, Manny walked away from a rematch clause with Horn. Pretty sure that would have been a TopRank fight.

Bob engineers things by making people resign as a part of making their final fight. This is why so many TR guys end up “ owing Bob a fight” and find themselves in the situation Crawford does now.

That or you get a Manny/Bradley type situation where Bob signs a guy and then there is a funny outcome and then a trilogy. I don’t know if that qualifies as “robbing” a guy, but it is rather slimy and scummy.

I think Bob, unfortunately, is a smart but sinister SOB. He wants his cake and to eat it too. Hopefully Bud can get this last fight under his belt without any problems from Robert the Snake Oil Salesman

bop wanted Timmeh to be the next 147 star

                    but that didn't work out

manny was too good for Timmeh to win 5 to 7 rounds
