Rachael Ostovich - Future in Boxing?

Last night she fought her first boxing-style match in BKB vs Paige Vanzant.

I know Ostovich as being strong eyecandy and a pretty poor fighter in MMA, and was expecting her to get embarrassed. Vanzant was 0-1 coming in last night, but in her loss she had shown she has really heavy hands and nearly got her opponent out of there. I was expecting her to walk down smaller Ostovich easily.

Man, I have to say, Ostovich's performance shocked me. She fought a super disciplined fight, showed excellent movement and timing; she won the fight by staying at the right distance and timing Vanzant into the right hand or uppercut. She has a great overhand right.

I could see her absolutely picking up a title at 130.

Did any of you perverts watch the fight? What did you think?

    Check out 17:45 (biggest shot of the night), 13:53, 15:10, 7:30, 19:29, 16:20

I was surprised by her a lot, she boxed good for BKF standards in a debut, but the whole pre fight promo she wasn't saying much, acting like she was just there for a payday, PVZ just cant get a break going to have to find another MMA sport cause BKB is definitely not for her

Paige and Ostovich fought in UFC. Ostovich's last fight if I recall. That was after her dude beat her ass.

Rachel's problem isn't skill, it's durability. I don't see her getting a title. Gatekeeper, absolutely. And yes, eye candy to bring eyes to the sport.

And before anyone mentions: Paige has no power. I called it before she started, BKFC is a bad fit for her. She's got heart but nothing else.

        - -Don't watch female martial events and never will, but much to admire in these gals who are often fighting their way out of poverty.

Uh, Paige never fought in Big Knockout Boxing.

          Do you mean BKFC?

Paige had the tools to beat both her opponents in BKB but couldn't pull the trigger. It's not that she doesn't have a chin, but it just seems like she reacts more to taking shots than your average female fighter. She was smashing Ostovich's face up with the jab, so it's clear she had the power, but she wasn't willing to walk through a few shots to make it an inside fight.

Maybe she's just careful about preserving her face because her Instagram is her main source of income.
