John Simpson retained his Commonwealth featherweight title at Eston Sports Academy, Middlesborough earlier tonight after a thrilling battle with Paul Truscott. Simpson defeated Truscott in eight rounds back in January to take the youngster’s belt. Paul was stopped due to a terrible swelling by his right eye in that one; this time, though, Simpson left little doubt, hammering his game foe to defeat in ten rounds.

watched it this morning after i came home from work and fell asleep in round 7. From what i can remember it was pretty good, i didnt fall asleep cos it was boring, was just up all night and was shattered. I'll watch it again later, but ill probably be pissed after the n.ireland poland game. pissed as in drunk and angry.
