He has also said one-off fights at 140 can happen. Mikey is one of those. Prograis is still pissed off at PBC because the Barrios fight was promised to him and then snatched from him. Maybe they would do the same to Prograis again and snatch Mikey away too. The only Davis fight at 140 I wanna see is Taylor. Can't wait to see him decapitate that bum.

I don't see it though as its a risky fight for Davis. I'm not saying he can't win, he most certainly can. But Mayweather and Ellerbe are looking for that low risk high reward fight and this has higher risk than I think they'll gamble on. I don't think they want Davis at 140 anyway. I think Barrios was a warm up for Ryan Garcia at some point.

I really don't understand Mikey's inactivity tbh.

Mikey always struck me as a smart kid who was a good boxer because he was smart and grew up in a boxing family, but didn't have a fighter's mentality. I always had the impression he'd make enough money and be the type to invest it wisely and live off it. May or may not be true, just the feeling I always got

Agreed. I realize Mikey has a lot of haters out there "now". But for those who are familiar with some things from the (recent) past, Floyd has huge respect for Mikey. They're friendly. Mikey would try to get sparring rounds in with floyd, and floyd declined. I'm definitely not saying floyd was scared, but we know his approach..... he won't allow ANYONE to get two seconds of potential footage of someone actually working him! There was a mutual respect between the two (this was before the Spence fight happened and Mikey was hot).
