Another weak take from Lyle. Draw results and the way they're handled aren't the issue, inept scoring from judges is.

I'd be good with having a 13th round and then if it's still ruled a draw by some strange circumstance either do the 4th judge break the tie idea or the vacant belts number 1 contenders mandatory thing to insure the rematch and honestly if it really that good and that close just go straight to the rematch. I will say though if judges are scoring the fight they should be elevated above the ring similar to in tennis or they should be watching the fight via monitor with instant replay

Thought about it and the only that could happen (a draw after round 13) is one fighter loses the round by 10-8 on one judges scorecard but wins it by 10-9 on the other two judges scorecards. If that happened wouldn't it absolutely raise some eyebrows!

There is no good solution to a draw, even a coin flip would get screwed up in the ring a week long debate would go on and on. If anything in case of a draw in a Championship fight the fighters must fight again within nine months and no fighter can take a fight prior to the rematch. If they do not agree within 24 hours then they forfiet the fight and get the lose.

The problem is the writers don’t run articles 24/7 shaming these judges publicly until they run them clear out of the sport. I feel if they all collectively wrote articles each day naming the judge everyday that would run them to something else

Boxing is carrying on as if it’s still the past. There’s something beautiful about tradition when it works and a lot of boxing works perfectly well — the clobbering and bleeding parts, especially.

But there is never anything good in stubbornly repeating the same old dumb mistakes.

                1. Stop letting promoters pay the judges
                2. Recognize your fans are fed up
                3. Try the many good ideas here and elsewhere for cleaning up judging
                4. Keep trying

So the writer is also to blame for what´s wrong in boxing for saying it was a draw in his eyes.
