Well, he may lose some of his speed and quickness soon but I don't doubt he can continue learning and adding to his game. Won't be significant improvements but he's a man that lives in the gym so I don't see why he can't continue improving...Even if it is minimal improvements.

It’s imperative Alvarez fights Bivol or Beterbiev soon. He is at the right age and peak to beat those guys if he goes in with his A game. These are the names he needs on his resume imho. As much as I want Charlo and Plant or even Benavidez, the guys Bivol and Beterbiev are great contrast of styles that people will remember that an ATG from Mexico took the challenge. I think Jermall is easy. Plant is no problem. Benavidez will go to decision and miss a lot.

call me crazy, but I’d like to see Andrade get KO’d by Canelo. He does have am ellusive style but Canelo too dangerous and unfortunately for the judges Andrade will be too boring for them and see Canelo coast an easy win.

If Canelo goes undefeated for the next 3 years he should attempt his last date at a Cruiserweight Championship.

Canelo improves with defense to setup the shots he wants. Some might not understand that, but Canelo typically seeks power shots to slow down his opponent for the right stoppage. So Canelo learns and adds to his already slick intuition in slipping shots. That makes him a dangerous fighter. Canelo in the last years is particularly learning the craft of unique power punches. Just like in American baseball, pitchers have to evolve techniques for curves, sliders. Those physical attributes count in punching. Same goes for legendary Quarterback techniques or free kicks in football (soccer) where legends can curve the ball even easier as they age. Same applies to boxing. Post Mayweather would beat PBF with defensive tricks

Alvarez beats the sht out of Beter imo

dude is an East euro caveman

          sure he has power

but Alvarez is iron chin tank with a VERY GOOD defense

Alvarez has most issues with boxers not punchers

I don't believe in the myth of ''issues with boxers.'' You rate a fighter per fight as they progress, not pre fights. It's the same ridiculous notion of Canelo ''having problems with BJS (or southpaws) because of Lara or Trout.'' That was years ago, and some fighters are special. Any true boxing fan can see that Alvarez is a 2.0 stylist versus early 2012 it's not even comparable. That is experience at its finest. And again, if Canelo was insecure he'd play safe as most boxers and just do chessmatching bouts. The last was the GGG series, but Canelo was ''depleted'' in power against such types at Middleweight. Credit to Canelo though for the only man not taking a knee and fighting the Kazahk for 24 rounds. Now as far as Beterbiev, the guy can go for broke and take 1 or 2 just throw a massive body shot. He would know he's being the underdog, but many fighters have to adapt strategy knowing this. Beterbiev's attributes would be his resistance in taking shots as long as he's super careful. In that, he would have to attempt his best power techniques once or twice per round. If he catches Canelo with a good shot to the body, that changes the pace throughout that round and Arthur could read it, perhaps apply it again. Not saying Canelo can't adapt to that as well, but bigger power puncher fighters have those attributes too. Look at Angulo vs Canelo. Abel Sanchez said Angulo was the best sparring GGG ever had. Angulo could once upon a time take serious power punches. Sure he looks sloppy but he was good. Now take a better and bigger fighter like Beterbiev or David and there are particular shots that Canelo still needs to wary of. I thought Canelo was toying with BJS tbh. He was seeking a particular KO in front of 70K people. He couldve just sat back and threw 1000 jabs like GGG in Vegas but chose not to...

As long as he keep fighting those carefully chosen fighters. He should look like a 35 million dollar boxer. Honestly, he has improve a lot. Specially his defense. He still slow on his feet, doesn't have one punch ko ala julian jackson or Gerald mcClellan. But hit hard enough to cause damage. He's doing what he is supposed to do. win big without controversy. As soon as he fights another slick boxer, we are going to have another gift going canelo's way. DLH and his team did a great job planning his career and he has follow the blueprint. They are a couple of young guns coming up the ranks, guns blazing. let see what he does.

I think next year is the last year he improves. I think 168 is gonna be remembered as his best weight class. I think 175 is pushing it and don't think he would beat Beterbiev.

Beterbiev is a classic power puncher that if you make him upset or hurt him he turns it up. Even against Callum Johnson, his face was already murked up by Round 2. His power is real, and again, he retired Gvozdyk. I think Hearn has been convincing Bivol to not really push for unification headlines and has probably been waiting for a better option. Beterbiev can shave off years from a fighter. I think DAZN benefits more for Bivol vs Ramirez and fights thereafter.
