Was a super close fight. I was watching with my son and one of my buddies and we've been doing the boxing scoring as part of our fight night get togethers for years. I make a spreadsheet prior to each main event and we all score the fight and compare at the end. I had it 115-113 Castano, my son and friend both scored it 114-114.

Fights are scored round by round. He could lose 3 rounds badly, still, that says nothing about the outcome of the other 9 rounds.
Didn't watch the fight but most people agree Castaño won, so yes, it's a robbery. Specially if we have proof that at least one scorecard was corrupted.
I know that fights are scored on a 10 point must system. Even though Kovalev beat up and dropped Andre Ward, Ward won more rounds...which is why he won the first meeting. I was one of the only spectators that got it right that night....because I scored the fight. I said guys, Ward had some bad rounds, but he won more rounds than Kovalev. I score fights.
Watch and score the fight, then give me your verdict. That fight was close. A draw was not out of the question - especially since Charlo clearly won the last 3 rounds, and could have conceivably picked up other rounds. A lot of rounds were close.
Back in the day Edwin Rosario rocked Hector Camacho twice, but Camacho won like 10 rounds. I score fights! I love the art of boxing!Comment

To me the attempted robbery is apparent on the card with the 10-8 round. Hardly a piller-to-post beatdown - Casntano was able to dance off the last minute of the round. edit: in fact, he handled being hurt about as well as one could ask being that is not how he fights, he ****** it up and biding his time very professionally and lucidly, no way that should be 10-8.
There was no path to a draw on that card and he knew it - had to manufacture the knockdown Charlo couldn't get.....he still failed to get Charlo across the finish line though. Which lets me know what he really thought of the fight, at the very least 115-113. 114-113 is just not a score that should have appeared in this fight, just no
Even the "winning" card is a red flag that the BS factor was very highLast edited by LA_2_Vegas; 07-19-2021, 04:16 PM.Comment

Even after all the corruption from you lot towards overseas fighters, you think it's all an honest job they're doing in scoring and not doing what they're paid to do... Rip the overseas fighter off to benefit the North American. No matter what.

Charlo was dominant in the second and tenth, Charlo may have won the championship rounds, it doesn't matter, thats not how boxing is judged, and for me Charlo just didn't win as many rounds, and I didn't even think it was that hard to score, much like Fury Wilder 1 and Canelo GGG1.
People squinting and trying their best to justify these cards need to stop, its gifting house fighters draws when they lost, plain and simple.

No he wouldn't. We both know that had Castano won another round making it 9 rounds to him in total, the corrupt US judges would have altered their score cards to make it a bigger robbery than it already is.
