When Fighter Gets Knocked Down & Hurt

best way for him to use up all 10 seconds for recovery without risk of ref waving it off?

many times the ref won't even count and simply wave it off. other times ref doesn't count to 10.

what must the knocked down fighter do so the ref lets him continue.

Stay on his knee and look at the ref and then get up right when the ref is counting in between 8 and 9. Fighter has to look at the ref though to show he is aware and wants to continue.

So if Jack Reiss is reffing you, keep your eyes closed on the canvas and wait for him to mount you. Then when he shouts one after ten seconds of straddling you, make sure to open your eyes and get up as though you were the grim reaper. Then outbox opponent for rest of the round.
