This is what Hopkins really thinks about a Roy Jones rematch

By the time this fight is made, Jones and Hopkins will be receiving oxygen and prune juice between rounds.Comment

Thats where Bhops is wrong..
1. The public is more interested than Bhop vs Roy, than Bhop vs Adamek
2. He's terrified at the possibility of Roy having a damn good chance at winning. And another loss to Roy at this point would mos def tarnish his legacy
That is all
This fight is long overdue, they faught in 93 I was 4 at the time, I'm freaking 20 right now! RJJ has been past his prime for 7 years. This does nothing for B-Hop's career. People are talking about, this a fight both can retire on but let me ask you this ; is it B-Hop that needs to retire or is it Roy? B-Hop has 3 options, more important then facing RJJ, that being Adamek, a title at 168 or facing the winner of Johnson vs Dawson.Comment

And winning against Roy wouldn't do anything but avenge a loss on record, hence his point is right. I doubt he is affraid of losing to Roy but the risk/reward ratio is ridiculous. Not only that but Roy doesn't wanna take 40% and wants the winner to get 60%.
If you're a Roy fan you can say Hopkins is in the way of the fight not happening, but imo Roy is. Agree to the 40% and if B-Hop still don't want it, then you gotta point.Comment

You can't really bash Hopkins for saying that IMO. The only thing I didn't agree with is when he said "the public isn't interested in the fight." I think a lot of people are. I would buy the PPV if they ended up fighting but I don't think he really needs to fight Roy at this point. Even if Bernard won, people would just say "he whooped you in his prime, you just beat a washed up version" so it wouldn't be sweet revenge.Comment

Don't get vexed, i threw you as an example to put the emphasis on how RJJ's rep has gone. Only his fanatics still care about him.
Nobody wants to see his old ass gettin beaten up again, Roy is delusional like all of you. Glen Johnson, Tarver, Adamek or Hopkins would all stop him.Comment
