Great post and I agree. People here tend to use Williams as a reason to think of Cotto ducking. But really, who can complain of his welterweight resume.

Note: That's the writer SAYING Jack knows the fight is not worth $10mil after FMJ had just made 150,000. Reading comprehension is what it is called..

No..Only Arum can say that...Cotto fights whoever Bob tells him too remember?? Who did he really give a chance and who was he going to fight besides Judah or Mosley? Bob Arum wouldn't dare put him in the ring with FMJ at that time. Who else was there to fight in 2006 when he moved up to WW? He was just trying to get his feet wet at the weight. So of course logic would say he fight the gate keeper in Judah..Was he going to fight another Gomez, Urkal or Jennings besides Mosley?

Look Mosley's a great fighter but a dumb business man.He had the chance to fight FMJ twice and turned it down both times, then he had a 3rd match with DLH a guy who fighters would sacrifice their 1st born at a payday like that and the Cotto fight he lost so he can't really blame anyone but himself.

I wish the boxing experts or critics thought so highly of Cotto as you do maybe he would be higher than 8 on the P4P list.. But then everybody can't be right. When FMJ walks through JMM watch where he goes on the list. He will jump over Cotto too..
