  • Fannon boxing site reporting crawford already knocked out by spence in earlier sparing session!

Fannon boxing is saying Crawford and Spence have had some hard sparring in the past and not only did Spence handily win Crawford got K'od. That would certainly explain why Crawford always finds a way out of fighting any real threat since he has been at welterweight. Considering the tough fight Porter gave Spence it also makes sense that Crawford has avoided Porter regardless of how hard or long Porter calls him out. Arum liked to throw Porter's name around until Kenny Porter went straight to his office and found out that Crawford was not going to fight him at any price. This also explains why Crawford keeps signing with Arum.....he has made a lot of money fighting no-hopers and has not risked getting exposed. If I am correct this explains why Crawford is talking about fighting a 140 pounder moving up in weight instead of a real challenge. It's been a good con job for years now but I think at last even the most ardent Crawford fans are seeing what is really going on. Don't be surprised if Crawford resigns with Arum in October.....keep blaming PBC and everybody else and fight bums for 4 million a pop!

Gary Russell Jr. has also gone on record saying it is well known thru his amateur career that Crawford has some chin problems.....in fact to make a point he punched Crawford in the face in front of several people and Crawford did nothing. Let's see who Crawford fights next and if he resigns with Arum.....should tell us a lot....

We have seen glimpse’s of Crawford’s possible chin issues. But he hasn’t really fought anyone who had a good chance. Postol was the guy everyone wanted him to fight back then and he did. But that was 5-6 years ago, he can’t live off of that win.

At the same time, while he isn’t fighting anyone of note, the media and publications give him major kudos for his unimportant wins. So he doesn’t think he has to step it up. He thinks he’s killing it because that’s what people are telling him.

For example he beat Brook and Khan, neither guy being ranked in the top 10 at WW for The Ring or TBRB. But the media acted like he beat prime Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy Hearns.

When? Every time i've seen someone touch him, he visibly steps it up and becomes more game.

If you followed the amateurs back in the mid 2000s you would definitely no that bud has been dropped multiple times, Keith Thurman was dropped in the amateurs alot as well, which is why it wasn't surprising to see Manny drop him, in fact the only two top welterweight that wasn't dropped in the amateurs, is spence and Danny garcia, they haven't been dropped as pros either, you don't just magically grow a chin, you usually have one as a amateur and a pro

Crawford is a very good fighter (albeit with a lackluster resume). But doesn’t matter how tough a boxer gets after getting hurt. The point is, the issue exists. And it exists vs subpar/mediocre opponents.

Kovalev was knocked down by a relative nobody in Caparello. Kovalev came back to KO him right away, stepped his game up. But that doesn’t mean that the TKO win nulled the knockdown or erased some fans thoughts that Kovalev’s chin.

Crawford could be dropped 3 times in round 1 vs Zepeda and then come back to KO him in round 2. The KO victory doesn’t mean Crawford’s chinny issues go away.

Not many fans would be surprised if Crawford gets KO’ed when he steps up to elite level boxers. He is safe for now though, given his options.
