So many times I've overlooked Pacquiao. He's shocked me so many times when I thought the other guy would win: Margarito, De La Hoya, Thurman. I've learned that Pacquiao has what it takes to pull off an upset. I believe Spence can win by either a KO or on points. However, as long as Pacquiao can avoid a Marquez IV type knockout, I give him a chance to win on points. As relentless as Spence is - he just keeps coming, I believe if Pacquiao is still quick and accurate, he can win enough rounds against Spence. While Spence is a sound boxer, it's his pressure and ability to take a punch that makes it possible for him to dominate and walk through opponents. I've never seen anyone walk through Pacquiao. Active fighters have a chance against Spence. Porter had a chance against Spence (he's a busy fighter). So does Pacquiao.

But Spence is untested in this class, don't matter if you're the best or highest rated of a bunch if the bunch is also not tested at the highest level.

This era so far is not on the level of the last era, nobody has established themselves as ATG material other than probably Canelo.

You can have an undefeated p4p guy at the time like say Ottke, yet he is a really weak champion compared to the best guys at the time, the ratings are only rating one against another, it has really no bearing on the level of the guy inside the ring, there is so much more to it than ratings.

Manny is an ATG, Spence is unproven at this level, if he loses he wasn't good enough its as simple as that, and all it means is the ratings were wrong.

That’s exactly my point. If Spence loses it shows he’s not up to bearing the torch for the new/current era. Boxing needs new stars.

Have you guys not seen Spence fight? He's fought the best that have been willing to fight him, and fought a few fighters in their prime - he fought Porter, Brook, and two Garcias. He also sent a good fighter into retirement - Peterson. The only big fight that he hasn't been able to make is against Crawford - and that's because Crawford is protected. Even though Spence doesn't have as many high level fights under his belt as Pacquiao, make no mistake.....Spence is high level and has fought on the same stage as Pacquiao. If Spence loses, there will be no excuses. There will be more excuses if Pacquiao loses, given his age and ring inactivity.
