Peter Fury, father and trainer of heavyweight contender Hughie Fury, explains that none of the highly ranked contenders are interested in facing his son. The 26-year-old Hughie has remained patient while his next fight is being sorted out. He's been out of the ring since defeating Polish veteran Mariusz Wach in December.

Hughie is 13th in the IBF so fight Hirgovic for mandatory he can't get an opponent and everyone above him has turned the fight down. If he wins he gets AJ.

          Whay am I missing ?

Why would they? He lost to Pulev, Povetkin and Parker, the most high-profile names on his resume. Hughie Fury won't sell PPV's and Hearn knows this so the offers to 'several high profile names' aren't going to be that attractive.

Total posturing and reaching beyond his capability. If the Fury's want to get Hughie into the limelight so badly, fight your cousin Luke.

I'm struggling to give a sh#%. Be gone, Gypsy-Bum! This is actually wonderful news, take the year off, better yet just retire.

He's 26. In reality, all he has to do is wait it out. Wilder, Joshua and Luke are all into their 30's. Give it 5 years and they will have retired paving the way for the next generation. That's Hughie's best shot at taking a belt.

Lots of potential opponents. Yoka, Hrgovic, kabayel, zhang, Makhmudov, Coffie, Wardley gorman...to name a few. Most of these (all?) Would beat hughie though...

Be interesting to see what happened at yesterday's (Wednesday) BBBofC monthly meeting. IE: Has Joe relinquished or been stripped of his British title?
Hughie vs Chisora could sell well!
