They're not gonna strip fury of the belt.

He can promote it better and make more money for them from it, plus he's done nothing wrong. The WBC will be salivating over their cut of an AJ/Fury undisputed superfight.

Windmill refused to talk at a legit presser making no effort to promote the fight. He had his time and did virtually nothing except alienate people with his fake gangsta theatrics.

Tyson Fury is fucked! He has to give Wilder his mandatory rematch or retire. It's his choice. I know there is nothing more that you Brits would love than for Tyson Fury to ditch his mandatory rematch so he could hold onto the belt for as long as possible and fight Anthony Joshua. However, he can't do that.

He can keep the belt but he won't be able to defend it until he fights Wilder first. While, in the meantime watch how Eddie Hearn and Matchroom put on a full court press to get Fury stripped of the title, so Wilder could fight Dillian Whyte instead. Eddie sees an opening and plans on exploiting it

No one wants to see windmill handed his a$$ back in shreds or die in the ring. He might want a body on his record but I'm sure Fury doesn't.

And so what if Fury pulled a sicky to get out of a date with wilder. The fact is, Wilder is neither worth Fury's time or energy to deal with, let alone fight.

Fury has the belt and the power to dictate terms no matter what some stateside judge rules.

Outside of Wilder's power, I don't think he has much of a chance in this fight regardless. Having said that, I think this delay benefits Fury more. Wilder has seemed motivated and ready to go lately, this will disrupt preparations significantly and will definitely disrupt his mindset.

Will the fight even happen?

I don’t get the whole thing when folks say definitively that Fury needed more time or they needed to sell more tickets or whatever. Perhaps that is what happened, but why say it definitively?
