This would be the only fight in Paulie's career that he would be the bigger puncher. Nash out - boxing expert.

Conor borrowed Floyd’s big ballin persona and pullcounter. Okay he’s funnier than Floyd

I’ve met whites who like Conor but think Floyd acts like a thug lmao. Who actually did gangster sh11t like throw a ladder at bus windows
I don’t think that’s the case with Conor though. I don’t buy into this whole if you’re blank you should support the black guy and vice versa, I think it’s pathetic tbh.

He does it far better than Floyd, more charismatic, dresses better and he’s a lot quicker with the insults and the jibes. Floyd’s usually just sounds dumb as sh** tbh, he just repeats himself with the whole “hard work is what?”, “hard work, dedication”, “abso-f***ing-lutely” and every other catchphrase he recites at every presser.

Conor actually reminds me more of an obnoxious Ric Flair type character from the 80’s. The only difference is Flair won his big matched whereas Conor always loses his biggest fights.

That’s the part I don’t get about Conor, even when he’s exposed and loses, he still maintains his popularity, if anything it grows, I remember when he lost to Nate who had like 10 losses and he still became a bigger star in the process. Imagine Mayweather or Canelo lost to a gatekeeper like Diaz, they’d be finished.

This where mma is better for fighters than boxing.

losses in mma aren’t this huge setback

good mma fans understand how hard it is to win 99% of the time in a sport that has punching kicking grappling wrestling flying knees elbows

Yeah good point. Too many fighters look to protect the 0 by avoiding risky fights nowadays. Loads of guys doing it around 160-168 atm. Looking to sell their 0 to Canelo like Smith and Saunders did.

Of course it will be. Wen you whoop arse in sparring and someone puts out edited bits to make themselves look good, I'm sure it can piss you off.

For the most part MMA fighters have a much shorter prime than boxers and I think it has to do with the constant changing nature of the sport of MMA but it’s clear his time has past but I also find him just a reprehensible character

I also think UFC realised they had a star on their hands and matched him carefully. At 145, credit where it’s dues he beat some good fighters, but above 145 they’ve kept him away from the real killers aside from Khabib who dominated him.
