I think it’s simply an age thing, can’t maintain the same pace he did during his prime.
Exactly manny himself said a couple weeks ago his stamina will be key in this fight

we’ll see how manny paces himself on fight night

Is manny so good that he hurts bad Errol early on where the latter can’t recover and comeback. Think manny Cotto

and say manny does hurt Spence bad early. Spence has a rep for getting stronger as the fight goes on. Cotto was always a fader

Spence simply has to win 5 rounds to get the decision. This how boxing goes when it’s the young rising tide vs the fading star

      How’s this relevant?

Bro that was 22 years ago, Pac was a teenager and was evidently having weight issues.

He didn’t gas either, he just stopped early by the better fighter on the night.
The guy asked when manny gassed

He was gassed and out of shape in that fight

He couldn't even make weight he was so out of shape

Watch the fight he was running away and barely throwing punches he was so out of shape

Yeah it’s taxing to fight a pressure guy

margarito had his face disfigured but look how hard he pushed manny

Spence is about the same size but with much greater skill

Spence has a real engine too, he’ll be able to set a high pace and maintain it over twelve. I can see Manny having success early but at 42 I just can’t see him going toe to toe with a younger, bigger and stronger dude in Spence. I do expect Spence to take over in the second half of the fight.

Would love to see Manny pull it off but I can’t see it tbh.

I don’t think he looks out of shape, he was stick thin. He just looked dead at the weight. It wasn’t a case of him gassing either man, Singsurat just had far too much of him at that stage of his career, it looked like a man vs boy in there.

It’s mind boggling to think that same skinny kid who Singsurat folded with a right hook to the body went on to win titles as high as Welterweight and Light Middleweight.

Yeah I agree. Manny looked old in the 2nd half of that fight.

But I’ve never seen Manny badly gassed, or lose a fight due to gassing out.

He’s taken a few rds off here and there in different fights, but for the most part Pac’s stamina has been pretty top notch.

From what I have seen of Pacquiao over the last 15 years, he seems to be among the best conditioned boxers of his era. His stamina was never an issue for him. Even if he slowed down/lost stamina, his stamina lowered from incredible, to on par with other prime welterweights, AT 43 years old.

He was in a rough wrestling match with Jeff Horn, a bigger man, and still closed the fight strong, stamina wise.

If Pacquiao’s stamina lowered, it will not matter because it lowered from ATG stamina to normal elite boxer stamina.
