These guys are not as well known as the Klitschko brothers, but the Ibragimov cousins are making a name for themselves as rising prospects. Today's card at The Theater located in Madison Square Garden showed the fans some old faces and some new names.
The main event saw undefeated heavyweight Sultan Ibragimov take a step up in class and stop Al "Ice" Cole in three rounds. Ibragimov controlled the bout form the start and a well placed left hook to the body started the pain that would send Cole to the deck in the third. Cole got up and got some more punishment which led to the ref stopping the fight.
Shannon Briggs made his return to the heavyweight ranks, looking for one last title shot as he dropped Demetrice King with a right-cross in the second round, the challenger beat the count and Briggs unleashed more power shots. The ref stopped the fight and Briggs is now on the comeback trail. [details]
