Manny seems to be underestimating post car crash Spence as he got this D level sparring partners to help him prepare for Spence.

Erickson Lubin would have been the perfect sparring partner for Pacquiao imo.

Sparring partners are to work on gameplans and to get rounds in during camp.

You dont need hof level boxers for sparring.

Great fighters dont necessarily make good sparring partners.

Agree Spence wins by KO. These are D-tier sparring partners.

In the Thurman fight, Manny had Tszyu for sparring in Manila.

Nobody knows who Rocha and Lee are. And they both have losses over bums. They're also not that big. Tszyu was a real 154 pounder. These are 147 pounders and they're not even that good. Manny should at least be sparring good tier middleweights for this fight. Bad sign already.

Name one boxer who lost a fight because of their sparring partners?

          Give me a break.

Some of you guys are dumb as rocks.

If pac losses, it's not because of his choice of sparring partners.

These 2 guys are similar size to spence and left handed.

          That's the point.

You morons want bigger names that aren't same size and not left handed?

I bet you morons didn't even think about the left handed thing huh?

Theyre 5'10 welterweights that are southpaw.

His opponent is a 5'10 welterweight southpaw.

Sounds like good choices to me.

But morons on this thread thinks sparring partners need to be big names.

Big names are actually the worst sparring partners.

The good sparring partners are there to help you work on your game.

The big names are there trying to work on their game with you.

            Difference.

You don't hire sparring partners who are looking to make a name for themselves by trying to hurt the champion who is hiring them. That's not how that works. He needed sparring partners that are close to Spences size and height and also southpaws, to work on his strategy. Porter used to be a sparring partner for Manny, he gave Spence his toughest fight to date.
