Call me crazy but I think B-Hop can beat Dawson

I think he's too cagey for Dawson. Neither one is a volume puncher. Therefore I think Dawson would have to pick his shots against Bernard because he's not known for a strong work rate which is B-Hop's only downfall at this point in his career. Dawson has the more suspect chin, as we saw when Johnson almost KO'd him late. I think he could win imo...

At this point, Hopkins struggles with fast-handed, athletic guys (Taylor 2x, Calzaghe). Chad would take a fairly wide decision from Bernard if Chad fights even a reasonably intelligent fight. Just too busy with too much speed.

I think he can too. I would no longer favor him at this point due to inactivity. But could he beat him? Hell yea. Not crazy at all.

I think you will see a lot of development and skill improvement on CD's part. He looked faster, more fluid, more confident than he ever has.

Now, I realize that he was fighting a guy he had already beaten. So his confidence was justified. But he just looked great that night. And if that Dawson showed up to a BHop fight, he cleans Bernard out.

You cant compair tarver and hops. Hops trashed Tarver. I think it can be done. Hops could catch dawson with alot of counters. I dont think he can KO him but he can outbox him and that is what he does best.

I respect that, and I'm not comparing Hops and tarver. That isn't what I meant. I am just using the Tarver 2 fight as an evaluative tool to analyze a fighter.

Tarver is a Southpaw, and he isn't very crafty. So he isn't a template for Nard. But you can lok at that fight to gauge Chad's abilities.

I would pick Chad to win it though. His speed and volume would be key advantages in this fight.

Dawson doesn't have a good enough defense to keep from getting hit by Bernard's straight right hands. I think Hopkins puts on a boxing clinic despite what a lot of people believe. I would still like to see the fight though.
