King tried to get him a fight with Angulo but Mayorga bitched with a rib injury.

The real reason was money.

He was offered 200 k and it says there he was suppose to get 400 k minimum/fight so youcan see why he didn't wanna fight.

King has been doing this stuff to a lot of his fighters. Devon Alexander was sitting around for almost a year without a fight. I think Nate Campbell was also having problems getting big fights with him. Don was big and powerful in his day, but he needs to step down and retire if he can't keep his fighters relevant and active.

Plenty of cash up front is a great incentive to sign a bad contract when you don't have much money to begin with.
