Comments Thread For: Lubin's Coach: We Would Love To Welcome Danny Garcia To 154 Division!

Super welterweight contender Erickson "The Hammer" Lubin scored his biggest win as a professional on June 26th when he stopped former unified champion Jeison "Banana" Rosario in six rounds in the co-feature bout on the Gervonta Davis-Mario Barrios Showtime pay-per-view.

BS. Lubin should fight the winner period. Now if that's not the case then it should be against another top 154 fighter.

Yes, I think Garcia is too small for 154. A better move, for his style, is to go down to 140 where he had so much success. He was great in that division. Yeah, fighters grow and can't go back down sometimes. And would he even relish winning a title at that weight again? The WW division has not been particularly kind to Danny. He lost some very close decisions. He has been in there with the best. Great fighter.

Lubin needs to just wait for the Charlo vs Castano winner.

I'd like to see Danny fight someone like Liam Smith in his first fight at 154.

It’s safe to say Garcia will fight someone horrible when he moves to 154. Garcia is done at the top level.

yall on here are hilarious. danny is still a very good fighter. spence is the only fight he was never in. he loss two razor thin fights against porter who is ranked 1 or 2 depending on the day you check and to thurman who had a belt at the time neither wanted to give that rematch. hed beat ortiz tomorrow. lubin is a good style for him as well. lubin should win but its no cakewalk this isnt crawford against zepeda...

Danny is done at the top level. He never added or went to another coach. He needed to add that extra gear and never got around to be more active. The bigger guys are just going to have him waiting around more than usual to be offensive.
