you're right, it's total bullshlt... if tank REALLY wants that fight, then he will simply make it happen
imo, he should stay at 135... at this point anyway... or, wait for the perfect time
there are PLENTY of huge fights ay lightweight

Tank isn't his own boss. Mayweather has the final say and he is only interested in matching him against PBC fighters. He literally said they will only make in-house fights.
Gervonta Davis: "I'll go up to 140 for the right fight (Taylor). If not then it's 130 and 135"
^^^ Read between the lines.
He practically called Taylor out given that is the only fight that matters at140.
So yes the ball is in Taylor's court. Either he starts negotiating with the other top dog/cash cow of the division or he just plays it safe and moves up to 147.
Best believe that the boxing world will recognize it as a clear duck if he chooses the latter.Comment

bad information? like i said this guy is a stan and is trying to hype up barrios as if hes some killer when in reality he has no resume and is known for getting a robbery win over akhmedov. he's even going as far as to lie about his height which tells you how much of a stan he is. you want some proof since you came up with some bad information from 5 years ago?

the guy on the right is 5'8. barrios is 5 inches taller? please. you are doing the same exact thing that i criticized breadman for doing lmao. pretending barrios is taller than he is with your bad old information. its pathetic really. pbc always lists him as 5'10. you can clearly see in this pic he's around 5'10 but ok you purposefully scoured the net for bad info to match your confirmation bias cong****! hey i can do that too! watch!- Alias: El Azteca

why was it odd? why is this contributor on boxingscene lying about barrios' height? anyone saying that is doing it cause they are: 1. trying to hype barrios up as better than he actually is. 2. going off some super old information from years ago like that uninformed pretty boy poster just tried to do. i would expect someone in the boxing industry like breadman not to go off of super old information from 5 years ago therefore he's just being a complete stan, the rest of his post in context shows that to be the case as well. he was saying how great of a fight barrios fought and how great hes going to be in the future, and how big of a puncher he is, and how great tank is going to be, and how he can beat anyone from 130-140. laughable given his cherry picked fights for the last 5 years. ok buddy. he just lost 5 rounds to mario freaking barrios a nobody with no credible wins, but he takes the negative of struggling with a low level fighter like barrios and tries to turn it into a positive! also if you put his comments in a larger context you would also know this guy runs in pbc circles so of course hes going to big up tank and pretend he's amazing which is why i made the comment about boxing insiders being the biggest stans. this is like a public audition for them. look how much i love tank!Last edited by daggum; 07-03-2021, 05:14 PM.Comment

that is bullshlt
if tank is not happy with his opponents... he cant sit on the bench, he can take legal action, he can leave... just like PLENTY of fighters have done
that is just one of the dumb excuses we mentioned earlier
in saying that... I think he should stay at 135, until the time is right... and now aint the time

My man. You're really going on and on because Breadman made Barrios a bit taller than he actually is. I haven't seen a mailbag where Breadman wasn't eschewing the positives of fighters, even in losses or rough stretches.

They're just doing their job to promote the young fighters that will be ticket sellers the next decade. In my opinion, Ryan Garcia's best promoter early on on social media was not Golden Boy Promotions, it was the boxing writer Steve Kim of ESPN. He was constantly tweeting about Ryan Garcia's exploits as if it was all so funny, and he was just tweeting about all of it to be funny, but after awhile, in my opinion, it became very obvious what he was actually doing was trying to promote the next young Mexican-American Oscar De La Hoya cash cow. No one had even heard of this kid Ryan Garcia back then, no one had seen him fight, he had proved nothing in the ring, but Steve Kim was tweeting about him more than almost any pro boxer in the world. Constantly tweeting about him and promoting him.“Lots of media members are going to wish they didn’t write articles calling Garcia, Tank, Haney and Lopez the 4 Kings.” Its a joke that people who supposedly know about boxing had the nerve to put these guys in the same sentence as the 4 kings. I don’t think anything will ever come close to those 4 and maybe the closest we’ve gotten was the era of Oscar, Tito, Vargas and Mosley, except Tito and Mosley never fought. Even that group wasn’t nearly as good.
Just my opinion. So people ask who will win when so and so fights so and so. Tank Davis will win. Ryan Garcia will win. Devin Haney will probably win, definitely if his fanbase keeps growing. In my opinion, it doesn't matter who they fight, and it doesn't matter who is better. They will win for the same reason Canelo and Floyd always win. In my opinion, pro boxing is entertainment, it's not sports.Last edited by Boxing Logic; 07-03-2021, 10:34 PM.Comment
