Canelo really is one-by-one taking titles and sending division title holders home with a loss. Hopefully this culminates in the most potentially exciting fight on the horizon which is Benavidez. After that fight, he could retire, though I doubt he will. I'm not one of those who thinks he needs to live in the 175 division. But he may want to push himself even more.

I'm possitive the fight will happen, Alvarez will overpay Plant and Plant will get money for all his life, I'm gonna be really pissed off if this doesn't happen as I love undisputed fights and as I do like Canelo's and Plant's boxing skills but if this were not to happen I wouldn't complain if Canelo goes for Beterbiev which imho is the toughest fight out there for him, however I've said in numerous times that I don't like this fight, Canelo not a natural 175 and he would be fighting the kingpin of the 175.

you don’t even know the specifics of what’s being offered. Ever notice that there are constant issues when it comes to negotiations with canelo opponents? Both smith and Saunders turned down offers last year that they felt were unfair and lowball offers before the fights were actually made. Maybe it’s team canelo that’s the problem since they’re the common denominator. I think that canelo demands a certain amount of money based on his name, but his Dazn buy rates don’t justify what he gets paid. So as a result, the first approach is to lowball the opponent to compensate.

Look at what Plant made his last few fights. He’s no doubt getting career money offered. We all know DAZN overpays.
Even if it was lower than he wants then take the money, beat Canelo then call your own shot. Again these guys all talk tough then hide behind Haymon. They are afraid to chase greatness. This new breed of fighters are just looking to cash out without earning it.
Canelo makes what he makes because he’s taken chances in his career these other fighters won’t. He risked a Floyd fight by fighting undefeated Trout coming off a win against Cotto. He fought Lara knowing he had a boring style and was going to be an ugly fight. He was the underdog against GGG. These guys get a paper title and then act like they run ****. Can’t respect that bs.
