The Official Mex vs PR thread!!

US feeds Mexico, it feeds all of the 11 ilegal that are there, and the legal ones. They are all on welfare, and some of that money they get, they send to Mexico to feed the rest of the family. Stop talking **** because you know its true. They all take welfare popping a baby every year.
Let's be real here for a second on both sides.
PR is part of the U.S and if it wasn't for the U.S it would be like Cuba, D.R, Mexico, Central and South America. Does the U.S take advantage of PR? Sure it does but at the same time, PR's are lucky to at least have the strength of the American economy behind them and the fact they are born citizens.
PR also has a huge drug and violence problem. This is a fact because I have lived in PR and I read the papers over there. There is and has been corruption at the local govt level there as well.
Now on to Mexico...
Mexico is a 3rd world country, extreme poverty and corruption at the federal level. There's no denying that and that's something that we could go into in another argument all together.
Mexico is also a country and civilization that is much, much older than any place in the Caribbean. The history of Mexico is drenched in blood and war...it's not pretty.
As far as PR fighting in every war for the U.S, this is true but believe it or not so has Mexico. Mexico fought in WWII for the U.S and even had a squadron of fighter pilots that fought on the side of the U.S. Mexico declared war on Germany, Japan and Italy in 1942.

So while it's easy to disrespect PR for not being a sovereign nation or disrespect Mexico for it's poverty and immigration into the U.S, let's not forget the struggles BOTH people have made.
Without Mexican immigrants, there would be no U.S. And the U.S has not given a free ride to PR's because they have taken from them plenty, built bases, bombed Vieques and established a strategic point in the Caribbean.
We both get riled up because we are hot tempered people, you can see that when we lace up the gloves and get into the ring with each other. The important thing is to respect each other and understand WHY things are the way they are.
I'm proud of being of Mexican decent, to me there are very few people on the planet that have struggled and persevered like Mexicans. From the time of the Aztecs, Toltecs and Mayas to Benito Juarez, Emiliano Zapata, Pancho Villa to the present day.
I'm sure PR's feel as proud as we do and that's the important thing.....Last edited by Cuauhtémoc1520; 09-03-2009, 06:10 PM.Comment

I even paid to take them all to the Joseph Akbeko vs Darchiniyan fight.
The funny thing is though, the Peruto Rican kid asks me, "coach why don't you have a flag of Puerto Rico in here"...hahah
I told him, I don't own the gym man.....Comment

I have been told that many times. I train young fighters now and love nothing more. Oh and I train Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Hatians and white kids, I treat them all the same.
