The Official Mex vs PR thread!!

No not even close. Actually, if you want to make that comparison, then lets make the comparison. Don't bring the "PR is a small island" argument because if a woman hit me, the ***** is getting hit back, so now your about to get hit back.
There are two things that PR is much better at than Mexico:
#1 - **** talking, you guys have that in the bag. Nobody talks more **** than Ricans, not even close. I thought maybe Cubans could hang since moving here to Miami but you guys still have them beat.
#2 - Baseball. PR is better at baseball but surprisingly not by much. Mexico has won it's share of Caribbean titles, in a country where baseball isn't big at all.
In boxing it isn't even close, Mexico has over 100 world champions, second only to the U.S all time and no PR fighter will ever achieve the status all time that JCC or Salvador Sanchez have.
Even in basketball it's a surprise. PR's are really good basketball players but for some reason that hasn't translated into the NBA. Where as there have been a few Mexican born players in the NBA, more than PR actually.
The NFL isn't even close. There have been Mexican players in the NFL since the 60's. Some of the greatest players have been Mexican, including HOF Antonio Munoz.
In mma it isn't even close either. Mexican and Mexican/Americans are starting to sprout up everywhere. Miguel Torres is considered one of the best pound4pound and there is even a HW contender in mma that is Mexican.
Ouch!! I think you went a bit too rough on them.Comment

But you're right...they always bring up the "PR is small" bull****. They get spoon fed by the U.S. and think they actually do everything all by themselves. Mexico nor Cuba nor DR have it good like that.Comment

Sup guys/girls. I'm from Ceiba, Puerto Rico and I've gotta say...both countries have produced some of the world's best boxers. However, if I remember correctly from an article I read on Ringtv.com a couple of months ago...Puerto Rico is said to have the best boxers pound for pound, or per capita. Something like 60 world champions for an island that contains about 4 million people. This argument will FOREVER be a tug of war. Also, check this out:
