Who said Am criticizing ginger? You talking about a kid that has only 5 fights, but against who is my question. I brought ginger on because he's the #1 money maker in the sport and the #1 in the 168 lbs division. That's why I compared the two on their first five fights. You were talking about money. I was talking about legacy. Nowadays they are way too many fighters hiding behind the A side. In my days if you really want to make money, you have to fight the best. Now, the A side always makes money regardless of the opponents. The worst the rival, the better for the "A" side. And fans like you are supporting that crap. Stay safe.Comment

If anyone's got the style to **** up Morrell it's Gongora... closest thing I seen in recent years to BHops but David's a fantasitic talent in his own right. I got Gongora here... survives an earlier scare then uses experience and 'ringcraft' to neutralise and tire the wunderkind to a close UD or possibly an MD after losing the early rounds. Course I'd say the actual result depends on what network they fight on ...
Ain't happening though... Matchroom vs PBC and Gongora's actually legit championship material himself to my eye. Neither side will want to risk this one.

I oughta, he was one of the dudes I had an eye on when I started the prospect focus threads last year (pre COVID), but I kinda lapsed on keeping up with em and they fell by the wayside. As things stand now I'm barely keeping up to date withe Pick Em and the Sweepstakes and I already commited to setting up a chess league on the lounge so I'm kinda spread thin...plus I'm likely to be busy IRL through September.
But yeah, I had a lot of fun with the prospect threads and they were well received so I reckon it's gotta be worth resurrecting 'em... might nort be till the summer holidays are over though, early September maybe, I'll aim to get back on it. Morrells a good one, Marc Castro for sure I reckon.. reckon maybe Buatsi deserves one even though he's getting past propsect stage, Berlanga... few of the old threads need updating. I should maybe put up a thread for suggestions too....

Warriors might but who says Haymon or Fox sign off on sending him over to DAZN? End of the day it ain't just about their faith in David, it's business and the the businessmen on both sides of the fence ain't showing a great deal of interest in working together... why take the risk on losing a fight to a dude across the street for little reward when you can keep it in house?Comment

Agreed on this. A win over Ryder immediately places him in the upper echelon at SMW. Most already have him hovering around the fringes of the SMW top 10 (TBRB reckon #8) beating John has to place him top 5. Not quite sure who there is for Gongora TBH... Danny Jacobs maybe... ? Not sure I'm seeing how that makes sense for Danny but it'd be a fun one. Chudinov perhaps but I can't see any other outcome than Carlos neutralising and battering Fedor... look a lot like the Chilemba fight cept it'd go worse for Fedor.Comment
