    Best latino heavyweight today

Who would you say is the better fighter, Fres Oquendo or Chris Arreola? I must go with Oquendo. He has fought far better opposition and has beaten some solid fighters, like David Izon, Maurice Harris, Clifford Etienne, Elieser Castillo and Obed Sullivan. He also almost beat Holyfield.Arreola has only a faded McCline to show of bigger names on his record.

arreola has the tools to go way farther than oquendo ever did..oquendo always seemed to have something missing to make it to the elite level..

But does he have the stamina and fitness? Oquendo sure does. He is ten times faster than Arreola. Thats why they call him Fast Fres.

arreola isnt slow himself..he isnt really fast but he has decent speed and hits way harder than oquendo..chris's fittness is in question but i wouldnt question his stamina honestly..chris isnt ment to be ripped anyway..ive seen him as low as 229 and he still was flabby..hes just naturally got some flab on him

Maybe. Maybe not. Oquendo has fought a lot of good guys and doesn't lose all that much.

He's had some questionable losses against very good comp.

The best latino heavyweights are the same guys who fought super fights at the beginning of the 2000 years: John Ruiz and Fres Oquendo.

Fres is an underrated good, skilled, in shape heavyweight and could have gotten Holyfield, Byrd and Toney on his big wins. Still Oquendo has always been too shy sometimes and not willing to take risks when it was close. You can't be a Great if you don't take big risks in big fights. I think he's the only american heavyweight who could fight the Klits and not get humiliated at this point.

John Ruiz is boring but he's a top ten heavyweight, he beat Holyfield,Golota and Rahman. He would probably beat overrated, untested Arreola too.
