Who Wins? Gervonta Davis vs Vasiliy Lomachenko

Yesterday I ran a Davis vs Garcia poll and the majority thought it would be an easy fight for Tank. Well, then how does this fight go? Lomachenko looked really good vs Nakatani and hardly lost a second of the fight.

    At 135, who ya got?

    Nakatani is a bum though.

Intriguing fight. Davis of course has power but doesn't have dimensions of fighters Loma sometimes struggles with so I am leaning Loma right now.

I don't think he is all that good either, but nonetheless it was a good performance by Lomachenko.

Tank doesn't have the tools to beat Loma and by the looks of his last two fights, with his inactivity, he will most likely get stopped.

Yeah, people like to say that nonsense but he just knocked out Verdejo and gave Lopez fits. He is unproven but it's funny how he instantly became a bum when he only managed to land 29 punches in 9 rounds against Loma

Here is something to pay attention with Lomachenko going forward, is he also now just an economical fighter? He averaged 24 punches a round vs Nakatani and averaged 27 punches a round vs Lopez. That plays in the hands of Tank and I think Lomachenko will need to overwhelm Tank late in the fight with his activity to win. Tank will be able to steal certain rounds by landing the harder shots if it is a slow paced low activity rounds.

I see this as a 50/50 fight and one Tank could get a late stoppage in.

Would never happen. Unless stank is confident loma is old and slow enough now

ATLANTA – Gervonta Davis should’ve made an important move Saturday night toward securing one of the most anticipated showdowns in boxing. By winning the WBA’s world lightweight title, Davis should’ve become the mandatory challenger for that sanctioning organization’s “super” lightweight champion, Vasiliy Lomachenko. Baltimore’s Davis already was the WBA’s No. 1 challenger for Lomachenko’s championship, one spot ahead of second-ranked Yuriorkis Gamboa, whom Davis stopped in the 12th round at State Farm Arena.

Nope, not nonsense. I was saying this before the fight...And at the same time I thought it was a perfectly respectable opponent for Lomachenko...It's just that Lomachenko is on a whole another level and was always going to light him up. Nakatani beat Vedejo but took a lot of shots and was dropped twice.
