Nobody cares about the titles or undisputed. Taylor is a bum and holds those belts. 140 has always been a weak division. People like Taylor and Ramirez aren't even tier two in a good boxing era.

I agree with them in this case. Taylor looks primitive compared to Davis, skillwise.
It's nothing to do with the eye test, the Boxrec algorithmns work strictly with the statistics. It's just that Tanks's carried his numbers up from 130 and 135 (although they take off about 10% or so with each divisional jump AFAIR) and the Boxrec algorithmns reward KOs significantly more highly than decisions - which is why Golovkin is still so high on their lists of course. And of course Tank has an awful lot of KOs.

Carried his numbers up from 130/5 and they over-reward KOs IMHO. You can get more Boxrec points for KOing a fringe level guy than for a close decision over a top tier dude (they reward you more points depending on how wide the decision is though a KO always scores more highly I think). Boxrec has it's place as an invaluable reference resouce but as a ranking system it really has a lot of problems and P4P it gets much worse for many reasons but especially cos it's heavily skewed against the lower divisions.

I mentioned the math in my post in the end. The eye test was my opinion, and many in boxing share. I still don't respect Boxrec for anything other than fighter stats. I don't trust the math. I don't even care who ranks Davis. Just my commentary.

The loophole is that Tank and LSC were given the opportunity for a 135 Regular belt but the limit was 130. The “135 fight” gave Tank a bounce with the points because boxrec uses the “Lightweight” bonus even though it was below 130, so the algorithm gives him credit from 135.

ever since Davis beat LSC BoxingIsGreat went bitter because fans didn’t acknowledge the win as well as fans hating on Davis’ car wreck he went on Canelo hating… why?

ive said Tank wouldn’t duck no one. His fans don’t want to acknowledge his handlers

Stank is a bum compared to Taylor, that's why Floyd will swerve that midget from the ass whooping Taylor would put on him. It's sad when the promoter has to protect you that much if you are supposedly so good. But what's sadder is clowns like you propping up your regular chump belt holder and trying to sheeit on a legit Undisputed champion. Ellerbe was right about you Tank fangimps, you are dumb as hell.

There's been some discussion on the Boxrec ratings forum about this very instance and it actually turns out that Tank would in fact be rated #1 at 154 based on his points score even reduced in relation to the weight class. People are suggesting that's probably... well that maybe some are changes are needed.

Although actually if you look at the Boxrec divisional rankings at this precise moment 154 is absolutely dominated by 2:0 Nicaraguan unknown David Mercado with 1200 points so clearly he's a on a different level even to Davis..

EDIT: Ah.... looks like Mr Mercado has been bumped off the topspot at the latest update.
