Ponce De Leon V.S. Rafa Marquez

That would be a ridiculous war. I would like to see those 2 make weight and fight. Easily a potential Fight of the year candidate.

Assuming De Leon avenges his loss to Caballero.

A look at each fighter's record:

    Ponce De Leon

    Marquez

I think Marquez chin could survive De Leon's punches. I think Marquez stops De Leon late. Ponce De Leon is too wide open.

In my opinion it would be fairly one-sided.

Marquez's superior technique, power, and trainer would be easily evident.

          Marquez by KO.

            both come at u
altho Ponce is more of an attacker
and Rafa likes to come forward and look for oppurtunites
idk why ur sayin hes one handed
it just looked that way in his last fight
            but his fights before that
he was hurten guys with either hand
ultimatly i think it comes down to technique
which i think Rafa has the better of
Rafas chin may be a lil suspect but then again he was dropped by johnson and came back to knock his ass threw the ropes
think Ponce might not be ready for someone like Rafa

I dont think its suspect but De Leon likes to swing wildly to the body leaving incredibly open shots to the head. Thats a no no against R. Marquez. Rafel Marquez could possibly be the hardest punching p4p fighter in the world today.

Rafael has top notch training and conditioning.

Just too many advantages stacked against De Leon.

              Marquez Advantage:

1)Power (Has Koed World class opposition)
              2)Technique (two words, Nacho Beristain)
              3)Experience (Austin, Pastrana, 2sharp Johnson)
              4)Trainer (see #2)
              5)Conditioning (12,000 feet altitude training)

Rafa Marquez is too much too good at this time. Ponce doesn't stand a chance.

                  Defintly exciting
                  while it last
altho i do think its be kinda one sided
but as we saw with Tito-Mayo
One sided doesnt mean its not exciting
                  its like Ultimate said
its not the Ponce's chin is suspect
its just that Rafa hits so damn hard
                  but who knows
Rafa and Ponce are bout the same size n reach
so maybe Ponce might have a chance at landing some of those wide blows
becuz alot of guys just cover up
                  rafa does this to
and its not good to just cover up and take those shots
altho ponce shots seem slow and wide
he manages to find ways to land them

but in the end i still say Rafa in a one sided fight that ends up with a KO

I've seen several De Leon fights and i think he is definitely not ready for Rafa Marquez. I'd predict a mid round KO by Marquez. By the way did anyone see De Leon's last fight, i missed it , What happend?
